James Hardie Industries
James Hardie is an institution in Sydney – one of its oldest and most enduring manufacturing businesses, now with a global footprint, but dogged by the legacy of its past industrial disease and corporate government issues. TSA was commissioned to help the Australian business rebuild its regional reputation.
Key deliverables
Conducted a discreet audit and analysis of views of JHI among political, media, industrial, and regional stakeholders, and used this intelligence to develop a priority engagement plan.
Advised JHI executives and the Asia/Pacific President on how best to re-engage the 'industrial left', which had proved the company's most vociferous opponents.
Co-hosted VIP tours of the Rosehill factory and laboratories with political leaders and facilitated a TAFE/JHI ministerial roundtable on skills to drive commercial partnerships.
Assisted in key recruitment of a new Corporate Affairs Manager and helped leverage JHI’s marketing sponsorships, regional partnerships and sectoral memberships.
