WestConnex Stage 3B
TSA was engaged by the John Holland/CPB joint venture in its bid to design and construct WestConnex Stage 3B (the Rozelle Interchange), which was at the time Australia’s most complex and ambitious road tunnelling project, in one of Sydney’s most densely populated and politically engaged communities.
Key deliverables
Providing high level advice to the bid leadership team on sensitive local community issues and key drivers for politicians actively opposed to the controversial project.
Independent advice on community legacy features, including the Rozelle Parklands.
Analysis of local demographic and small business data to inform impact mitigation measures.
Brokering discussions with local government on potential points of conflict between project activity, communities and council operations.
Preparation and presentation of community and stakeholder communications and engagement strategy to the TfNSW bid assessment team.
