Mastercard

Global technology and payments systems company Mastercard turned to TSA to analyse and influence the public policy implications of further Reserve Bank reforms relating to credit cards, loyalty points, and commissions on local spending - a project used to inform its worldwide advocacy program.

Key deliverables

  • Reviewed the draft report from the RBA proposing further reforms to the credit card payments system and the likely impact it could have on international tourists holidaying in Australia.

  • Conducted a discreet audit of key industry and political stakeholder views on the current and proposed RBA regulatory regime.

  • Co-wrote, with Mastercard, a policy submission to the RBA inquiry, using the analysis and intelligence gathered to inform the argument.

  • TSA was made available to the media to provide personal commentary in support of the submission.
