Western Sydney Lakes
The Western Sydney Lakes Board (then Penrith Lakes Development Corp) asked TSA to optimise its critically challenged relationship with the NSW Government and address its media profile after a couple of disastrous interviews.
Key deliverables
Rebuilt relationships with local and state government to support planning approval for commercial, residential, agricultural, and tourism uses at the former quarry.
Improved relationships between PLDC and politicians despite repeated flooding incidents, marginal seat redistributions, ministerial reshuffles, and the changing mood of radio shock jocks.
Acted as a broker between potential developers and financiers of the movie studios, restaurants, and commercial investment opportunities, and briefed the Board regularly.
Launched the rebranding as Western Sydney Lakes at the Boomtown Summit, with major metro TV and press coverage, as part of a separate PR brief.
Helped secure state funding for the WSL beach park ('Pondi').
